Toad Hall Nursery sold to Puddleducks Nursery and Pre-School

Redwoods Dowling Kerr are delighted to announce the sale of Toad Hall Nursery, part of the Toad Hall Group. The award-winning nursery group is the proud recipient of many accolades, such as the Tigerlily HSE Award and the Good Egg Award and enjoys high occupancy levels in all nurseries.

Toad Hall Nursery is based in Bedfordshire and is one of 11 other settings for the owner. The group primarily operates in the South West and has received an overall ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted for all nurseries within the group.

The nursery was acquired by Toad Hall Nursery Group in 2015 and has since cemented an excellent reputation with parents in the area. The nursery is registered for 55 children and teaches them from 3 months of age until they are 5 years old.

The owner wished to sell the nursery in order to focus on other settings within the group and instructed RDK in the sale. The marketing campaign generated significant interest in Toad Hall Nursery due to its excellent reputation and the nationwide recognition the business holds. With 18 viewings and 5 strong offers made, the nursery was sold to a first-time buyer.

First-time buyer “Puddleducks Nursery and Pre-School Limited” was drawn to the nursery due to its excellent location and great potential. This is the buyer’s first setting and they have plans to re-open the nursery shortly, operating under the new name of Puddleducks Nursery and bring a variation of knowledge and expertise to the business.

The buyer explained: “I am so pleased with the service from RDK. My designated sales negotiator was Kim who was excellent throughout. I am pleased with the prompt responses and updates she gave and I am excited for my new venture”.

The buyer is currently preparing to re-open the nursery and is eagerly awaiting a visit from Ofsted next month.
