The owners, Ken and Lynn Mears, have been in the sector for over 27 years and have established the business as a provider of high-quality care to both local and private clients. The business provides care and accommodation for adults with mental health needs and is registered for 11 service users.
Located in Chichester, the business occupies an idyllic and desirable location with the beach a short walk away. Additionally, the accommodation is surrounded by excellent transport links, making the care home accessible.
The business is well-known in the local area due to the high standard of care it provides for its clients. Due to the business’s excellent reputation, it enjoys many recommendations and, in its most recent inspection, was rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.
After running the business since 1993, Ken and Lynn wished to sell the home in order to retire and instructed Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the sale. Our unique marketing campaign generated high amounts of interest in the business from many buyers and was sold to an existing care provider who operates several supported living businesses and has over 8 years’ experience in the sector.
They were attracted to the business as they viewed it as an opportunity to expand their presence in the geographical area and they intend to continue to run the business successfully whilst implementing a supported living strategy.
