Fingers and Thumbs Day Care Centre, operating in Mid Glamorgan, has been sold to Windmills & Wellies Limited, an existing operator within the area.
The Welsh setting is registered for 30 children aged between 2 and 5. The centre offers playgroups, holiday clubs, and parent and toddler groups. Additionally, they are registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales, receiving a ‘Good’ assessment at its most recent inspection in March 2020.
As a National Day Nurseries Association member, Fingers and Thumbs Day Care Centre believes in encouraging children to grow and learn through play. This philosophy is continued with their ample outdoor facilities, full of play equipment in the secure garden.
The current owner wished to retire and instructed Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the sale of the setting. They were looking for a buyer with similar values who could cater to a family’s needs, and RDK worked with our client actively marketing the business and looking to seek a buyer meting the vendors expectations.
The setting was sold to existing operator Windmills & Wellies Limited, who own a setting already and the location was ideal to fit in with their current business. The buyer plans to use their existing knowledge to grow the day care centre further.
Upon completion of the sale, the vendor said: “I am satisfied with my experience with RDK, the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Now is the right time to sell for me as I am ready to retire and I was looking for a specific type of buyer that with the help of RDK, was satisfied with the outcome.
