With a capacity of 42 children providing quality care from three months through to five years of age, the nursery has established an excellent reputation with parents across York.

The nursery was rated as “Good” by Ofsted in May 2019 and operates from a substantial and imposing three-storey period property which has been carefully converted and updated offering deceptively spacious nursery accommodation which is superbly presented throughout.

There is a compliment of qualified, long serving staff members in place which is another factor of the nursery’s ongoing success and reputation.

After building up the successful nursery, the vendor wanted to focus on other areas and decided to sell the business, instructing Redwoods Dowling Kerr back in July 2020.

The nursery was sold to an existing business operator who said the current location and growth potential of Walmgate Day Nursery were strong factors in their acquisition.
