Founded in 1996 by Susan Maxted, a former primary school teacher, the nursery has grown into a leading childcare provider, registered for 60 children aged from one month to five years. Renowned for its nurturing approach, creative curriculum, and outstanding outdoor facilities, the setting has become a cornerstone of the local community.
Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, Topsham House features themed learning rooms, a multisensory space, and extensive adventure-led outdoor areas. With a loyal, long-serving team led by an experienced nursery manager, the business has built a strong reputation for quality childcare and educational excellence.
The sale was managed by RDK Senior Sales Negotiator, Karrina Lee, who oversaw the transaction between the retiring owner and Kids Planet Day Nurseries Limited, one of the UK’s leading childcare providers. The acquisition marks a strategic addition to Kids Planet’s growing portfolio within the East Midlands.
