A well-established children’s day nursery located in the West Midlands has been sold to an existing operator.
The Village Green Pre-School, based in Birmingham with capacity for 65 children, boasts an excellent reputation with parents and enjoys high occupancy levels year-on-year as a result.
Owned by Cindy Brooks, the nursery occupies an easy access location surrounded by a densely populated residential area and a short distance from the town centre with public transport facilities and the motorway within close proximity.
The nursery was rated as “Good” by Ofsted in its last inspection and has several long-standing, qualified staff members in place, which is another factor of the nursery’s success.
The business operates from a substantial and highly visible property, offering deceptively spacious and versatile nursery accommodation.
The Village Green Pre-School is also equipped to a high standard with an array of quality toys, children’s furniture and resources at its disposal.
Having owned the successful pre-school for many years, the vendor decided to come to market in order to pursue other business interests.
Our client instructed Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the sale of the pre-school, and by using our bespoke marketing campaigns, generated a significant amount of interest. After five viewings, the pre-school was sold to Shazia Dhad, an existing operator with 10 years’ experience in the sector.
Miss Dhad has previously purchased a childcare business with Redwoods Dowling Kerr and we are delighted that she has chosen us again in order to provide another first-class business to add to her impressive portfolio.
Childcare Negotiator Kim Emsley said: “I would like to wish Cindy and Dean the best of luck for the future, it has been a pleasure to deal with them both on the sale of The Village Green.
“I would personally like to thank them both for being easy to talk to and very prompt at all times on their responses and in providing information. Congratulations to you both.
“We have dealt with Miss Dhad on a number of other purchases, and although this has been longer than anticipated, with continued commitment from all parties, were able to see it through to completion.
“Good luck with your new acquisition and future plans.”
