Inspired by Marcus Rashford’s recent campaign to end child food poverty, all staff at Redwoods Dowling Kerr decided to make a difference to our local community and collected donations to support families in need over the winter months.
Hundreds of tins, pasta, rice, soup and cereal items were donated by our staff for Luv Preston foodbank and we also dressed up in our Halloween-themed event on Friday, October 30th.
Luv Preston is a local charity which aims to love and serve the city of Preston by providing care and support to those who find themselves disadvantaged and disconnected in the community.
Gary from the charity group collected our donations and he was ‘amazed’ with the amount of food we had donated, and he commented that it will make a huge difference over the coming weeks.
We would like to thank all our members of staff for the fantastic effort in helping our local community. Well done everyone!
