A well-established domiciliary care business in Essex has been sold to an operator in the care industry, advised by Redwoods Dowling Kerr.
PCM Homecare, based in Maldon, is a traditional home care agency which has been trading successfully since its inception in 2015 and has cemented itself as a premium provider of excellent care to its clients.
The agency offers morning, afternoon and evening care for the elderly along with those suffering from dementia, learning disabilities, home help, elderly care, mental health conditions and sensory impairment.
PCM Homecare has an outstanding reputation within the region for the level of care provided and for the quality of the staff, many of which have been with the company since it began trading.
Its growth has come through recommendations from many social workers, word-of-mouth referrals and personal reviews. The agency has historically traded with a mix of private and local authorities.
Approaching Redwoods Dowling Kerr to facilitate the transition of ownership, the team produced an in-depth memorandum and the process generated two viewings, with one offer being made.
The business was sold to an existing operator looking to expand their portfolio. They also stated PCM Homecare’s growth opportunities attracted them to the business.
The buyer said: “Nick from Redwoods was excellent in his dealing of our purchase. Thanks for all your hard work.”
Sales Negotiator Nick Shepherd said: “This was a very quick transaction where both parties worked very well between themselves to get the deal completed in a timely fashion. I wish the buyer the best of luck and the vendor a relaxing and enjoyable retirement.”
