A first-class children’s care home facility set within a substantial detached property has been sold by Redwoods Dowling Kerr.
Mulroy House, based in Redcar, is registered for five children aged between 13-17 and is run by a strong management team.
Our client Lynn Mitchell has owned the care home since 2014 and boasts an excellent reputation with residents and relatives throughout the surrounding area.
After running the successful care home for several years, Mrs Mitchell decided to instruct Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the sale of Mulroy House as she wished to retire.
Brokered by Asif Musa, Sales Negotiator at RDK, the care home received high levels of interest and was promptly sold to Young Foundations, who are specialists in residential step-down services for children and young people with complex needs including autism, learning disabilities, and mental health issues. Young Foundations also offers placements to children who may have suffered trauma or who have attachment-based problems.
After the sale, the Company said they saw Mulroy house as an ideal bolt-on acquisition and have installed plans to grow the care home and continue the smooth operations at full capacity.
