Mighty Oaks sold by Redwoods Dowling Kerr

Mighty Oaks, an impressive day nursery and pre-school registered for over 40 children, has been sold by Redwoods Dowling Kerr to a first-time buyer.

The setting is located within Bournemouth Sports Club, between Christchurch and Ferndown. The nursery provides excellent opportunities for the children to connect to nature and the outside environment in all weathers and all year round.

The nursery is currently registered for 44 children aged between 3 months and 5 years of age and is very popular in the area with a tremendous reputation for quality, care and education. All staff are fully trained and hold a recognised qualification in Early Years.

Understanding Redwoods Dowling Kerr to be the market leading broker in the UK childcare market, we were promptly instructed to facilitate the sale of Mighty Oaks Day Nursery & Preschool.

Using our bespoke research techniques to generate substantial interest, the nursery was sold to a first-time buyer with vast experience in the early years sector.

After purchasing the nursery, the buyer is looking to use his extensive experience within the sector to grow the business and the ethos of the previous owners.

Upon completion of the sale, the buyer said: “Kim dealt with the sale and guided us throughout the process. As first-time buyers, her experience and communication helped us to achieve our goal and we would certainly recommend her to others.

“Now that we have completed the purchase of Mighty Oaks, we are completely focussed on helping it achieve the potential we saw in it when we first visited earlier this year.”

Childcare Sales Negotiator Kim Emsley said: “When I initially spoke with the vendor, the reason they were selling was to spend more time together as a family.

“This has been the case throughout, yet we wanted to ensure a buyer was found that would fit the business and be able to carry the business forward focusing on its potential. That buyer was eventually found.

“Once I had spoken to the buyer initially, I hoped that the vendors would feel the same as I did on them being the right person for the job. Luckily, they did, and I am really excited for them.

“I wish both parties the best of luck moving forward. Congratulations.”
