Little Pickles Nursery sold to Welcome Nurseries

Redwoods Dowling Kerr are delighted to announce the successful sale of Little Pickles Nursery, sold to Welcome Nurseries.

The nursery has a capacity for 26 individuals and provides professional care for children aged between two and five.

Having operated in York as a nursery since 1987, the business has an excellent reputation for offering quality childcare and therefore demonstrates historically healthy occupancy levels.

Little Pickles occupies an accessible setting in a densely populated residential area and within easy reach of the main commuter routes.

There is a complement of qualified staff members in place, which is another factor of the nursery’s success and reputation.

Little Pickles is also equipped to a high standard with a range of quality resources and children’s furniture which are required to operate such a popular setting.

Having built up the nursery’s reputation for several years, the owner wished to sell Little Pickles and Redwoods Dowling Kerr was instructed in the sale.

Utilising our marketing and research campaign, in line with our buyer’s intelligence process, the nursery received significant levels of interest and two strong offers were submitted.

The successful buyer is Welcome Nurseries, a corporate operator who have bought several childcare settings through Redwoods Dowling Kerr in recent weeks. The deal took just eight weeks to complete from the offer being accepted by the vendor.

This latest acquisition by Welcome Nurseries will increase their number of settings to 21 and the location and opportunity to grow Little Pickles were the key factors in their decision to purchase the nursery.
