Ladyewell Nursery sold to Evergreen Early Years

Ladyewell Nursery sold to Evergreen Early Years

Redwoods Dowling Kerr are pleased to announce the sale of Ladyewell Nursery to Evergreen Early Years.

Ladyewell Nursery operates from an idyllic location in a semi-rural setting with Preston City Centre just a short drive away. The nursery is surrounded by excellent travel links, making it accessible to all parents and children.

The accessibility of the nursery has allowed the business to build an excellent reputation with a loyal clientele. Additionally, the nursery was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in their most recent visit, highlighting the high standards of childcare at the nursery.

The nursery has been operated by the current owner for over 15 years with a registered capacity for 56 children. The rural setting allows children to have large areas to explore and play and has excellent internal facilities, such as a five-star hygiene rated kitchen, which supports the nursery’s excellent reputation.

Having cemented the nursery’s excellent reputation, owners John Westmoreland and Susan Holden wished to sell to pursue other business interests. As the UK’s leading business broker, they instructed Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the sale.

Our bespoke marketing campaign attracted significant interest in the nursery, with 15 viewings and 4 strong offers.

The nursery was sold to experienced operators Lisa and Howard Gregoire-Parker, who operate under the business name Evergreen Early Years.

Lisa and Howard own one setting in the sector and were attracted to the nursery due to its fantastic location. The couple plan to refurbish and extend the nursery and re-open in September to greet children with a fresh setting.

The buyers, Lisa and Howard Gregoire-Parker said: “Thank you Redwoods for your congratulations and best wishes. We are very much looking forward to developing Ladyewell and we thank you for your help throughout”.

Childcare Negotiator Natasha Satterthwaite said: “I am delighted that we sold the setting and I believe Howard and Lisa are well-suited to the setting. I believe the nursery will be highly successful upon its re-opening in September and I’d like to wish all parties the very best of luck with their future endeavours”.
