Redwoods Dowling Kerr are delighted to announce the sale of Fledglings Ltd.
Fledglings Ltd is believed to be the longest-running family-owned nursery group in the North West of England. The nursery group consists of four impressive nurseries in the Greater Manchester area, located within a 10-mile radius of each other.
The group has a combined capacity for 368 children with three of the four nurseries holding an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted with the fourth receiving a ‘Good’ rating.
Fledglings was quickly snapped up by Kids Planet Nurseries and represents RDK’s first in a pipeline of major childcare transactions of the year.
The group sale was expertly led by Karrina Lee with Jenna Caldwell overseeing the transaction from start to finish. Via their well-established corporate sales process, RDK generated multiple viewings and bids to ensure their client secured the right buyer.
Fledglings Ltd, a well-established group of children’s day nurseries located throughout Manchester, marks Kids Planet’s most recent acquisition via RDK. Kids Planet has previously acquired numerous settings via RDK, including Little Explorers Barrow, acquired in October last year. The nurseries will be joining their existing portfolio of over 182 childcare settings throughout the UK.

RDK’s Q1 pipelines are at a record level. We forecast deals to complete throughout the upcoming months, as business owners expedite their exit plans in sight of an upcoming election later this year.
