A well-established children’s day nursery and pre-school in South Yorkshire has been acquired by a first-time buyer.
High Hazels Nursery & Pre-School, based in Sheffield, has an excellent reputation and enjoyed healthy occupancy levels throughout its years in operation.
The nursery was rated “Good” in its last Ofsted inspection and is registered for 50 children aged between 3 months and 8 years of age.
The business occupies a prominent position within a densely populated residential area ideally placed for the major commuter routes.
High Hazels attracts children from the immediate locality, neighbouring towns and villages but also proves popular with parents who travel en route to their workplace.
Having successfully operated in the area for many years, our client Dawn Hind decided to sell the business to facilitate her retirement plans.
Having recognised Redwoods Dowling Kerr as the UK’s leading advisor in selling childcare businesses, Dawn instructed us in the sale of the nursery and Childcare Negotiator, Natasha Satterthwaite, was in charge of brokering a deal.
After a comprehensive marketing and research process, High Hazels was sold to FSJ Capital, a well-respected business operator in the finance industry looking to acquire a group of childcare settings.
The Directors of FSJ Capital, Rodney Clark and Saadat Ahmed, said the business has plans to acquire a group of settings and the strong profit records of High Hazels attracted them to the business.
Upon completion of the sale, Natasha Satterthwaite said: “The quality of High Hazels and the work Dawn has put into the setting is a testament to how much interest we saw during the marketing.
“I’m sure Saadat and Rodney will be a perfect match for it, assisted by the deputy manager stepping into a management position I’m sure the business will go from strength to strength under their guidance. I’d like to wish all involved the very best of luck in the future.”
