Glamorgan Care Ltd, a successful domiciliary care business and residential care home in Porthcawl, South Wales, has sold to My Choice Healthcare South Wales Ltd in a deal facilitated by Redwoods Dowling Kerr.
Established in 2008, Glamorgan Care Ltd operates Danygraig House, a residential care setting supporting vulnerable residents, alongside Danygraig Domiciliary Care Agency, providing support to the wider community since 2015. Offering 24-hour care to those with dementia and mental health needs, Danygraig House supplies a team of highly trained staff offering the highest quality specialist care. Meanwhile, their domiciliary agency provides community-based services to older people with physical and mental health issues, sensory impairment and dementia in the Bridgend locality.
Glamorgan Care Ltd have received exemplary reports from Care Inspectorate Wales since their establishment. As the first care home in Wales to receive a ‘Specialist Dementia Care’ registration, Danygraig House boasts an outstanding reputation and has earned a waitlist for residents. Similarly, their domiciliary care agency has grown considerably in recent years, providing tailor-made support packages and building strong relationships with social services and local authorities.

Having previously worked with RDK to acquire Springfield Care Home in Caerphilly, My Choice Healthcare operate eight existing settings across South Wales. The acquisition of Glamorgan Care comes as part of their aim to grow their portfolio of care homes, while continuing to provide excellent standards of care.
