A highly attractive property which was once home to a day nursery has been purchased by a renowned business group predominately operating in the South West.
Phoenix Learning and Care Group, based in Devon, provides a range of services for young people and adults with differing needs and works to give every individual the chance to flourish.
The Group was established in 2006 and has more than 40 services across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset including residential children’s homes and adult supported living services.
They also provide education in schools delivering Key Stage Two and Key Stage Four curriculums for those with special educational needs and further education through its specialist college.
Their latest acquisition is a luxurious detached property with a former day nursery located on the grounds of the stunning home in Warmley, Bristol.
The nursery itself was constructed by the vendors and was previously registered for 40 children, before closing in 2016.
Looking to relocate and downsize, our clients Roger and Lesley Bates, looked to Redwoods Dowling Kerr to help facilitate the sale of their property and nursery premises.
Once placed on the market, the premises generated substantial interest and Phoenix Learning and Care Group made an offer that our clients happily accepted.
The Group will now to convert the vacant property into use of a school, via planning permission.
Upon completion of the sale, Roger and Lesley Bates said the service by Sarah and the team at Redwoods Dowling Kerr was very pleasing.
They said: “The experience with RDK has been fine; we know the sale look time to complete but that was down to the current pandemic, and they always kept us informed with any updates, which was great.
“We wanted to downsize, and we found our perfect home around June/July time, so we knew that was the right time to sell.
“We were looking for a buyer who was genuine and we felt Redwoods Dowling Kerr took care of this and we are very pleased with the buyer.
“We’re excited to begin our new start after 43 years in our old home, but we couldn’t have wished for a better buyer who will re-open the property for childcare.
“Sarah has dealt with everything professionally and patiently; it has been great, and I would 100% recommend RDK in the future to anyone who asks.”
Lead Negotiator Sarah Ellison said: “It was a great pleasure working with Roger and Lesley Bates to allow them to move into their new home.
“It was fantastic they choose Redwoods Dowling Kerr to assist them as it was a huge decision to move after 43 years.
“Finding a buyer that wished to re-open the nursery and convert the property into a school couldn’t have been a more perfect for them as they wished to see the property go to good use within childcare and education.
“We would like to wish the Phoenix Learning and Care Group all the best with new acquisition and all the best for the future.”
