Ethicare (Durham) Ltd Sold to Clonard Care Ltd

Redwoods Dowling Kerr is pleased to announce the successful sale of Ethicare (Durham) Ltd, a supported living and day care business based in Sherburn Hill, Durham, which has been acquired by the long-established operator Clonard Care Ltd.

Ethicare (Durham) Ltd operates two supported living units and one day centre, providing care for adults with learning disabilities across the North East. The business has delivered high quality care for over a decade and has established a strong reputation within the local community. It has maintained consistently high occupancy levels and benefits from operational efficiencies due to the close proximity of its supported living properties.

The client decided to sell the business as part of a planned retirement, creating an opportunity for an experienced operator to acquire a well established service with clear potential for continued growth in response to local demand.

The sale was handled by Asif Musa, Senior Sales Negotiator at Redwoods Dowling Kerr, who successfully guided the transaction through to completion and identified the ideal buyer in Clonard Care.

Clonard Care is a well-established operator growing quickly, with Home Care Assist also sold to the buyer – in a deal facilitated by RDK – in Q4 2025.
