Bear Necessities, an impressive day nursery registered for 58 children, has been sold to first-time buyers.
The nursery, based in Oxfordshire, was opened over 20 years ago and has cemented an excellent reputation with parents in the surrounding area.
Bear Necessities prides itself on its family atmosphere, thriving outdoor activity, and its stimulating environment, providing excellent opportunities for children to optimise their learning potential.
Having built up the successful nursery since its inception, owner Jason Mcintosh decided to put Bear Necessities up for sale as he wished to pursue lifestyle changes.
With our first-class reputation and our record as the UK’s leading childcare broker, Jason instructed Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the sale.
Following our extensive marketing campaign and our unique buyers intelligence process, Bear Necessities received a substantial amount of interest and was sold to Ian and Jennifer Walker, first-time buyers who purchased the setting to maximise its potential.
Upon completion of the sale, the vendor said: “Redwoods Dowling Kerr made the process very straightforward and we were able to continue during lockdown without any problems. There was always someone we could reach on the phone if needed.
“It was really important for us to find a good home for the nursery, and that meant private buyers who would show the same individual touch and keep the family atmosphere of the nursery, which we have found.
“All stages of the process went smoothly; we were very happy with how it was handled and we are delighted to leave the nursery in good hands after 11 great years.
“Many thanks to everyone at Redwoods Dowling Kerr.”
The buyers said: “Natasha Satterthwaite was efficient and friendly from start to finish. She managed the process and the parties very well.
“We are extremely happy that the deal has completed and I would recommend RDK to anyone looking to acquire, it’s been a great service.”
Childcare Negotiator Natasha Satterthwaite said: “It was a pleasure working with all parties on this transaction.
“Jason was always willing to listen and take my advice during the marketing process, which lead to finding fantastic buyers in Ian and Jennifer.
“We were all on the same page and knew what everyone’s expectations were, which lead to a nice and smooth sale.
“I’d like to wish all parties the best of luck with all their endeavours.”
