Amber’s Attic under new ownership

A Greater Manchester children’s day nursery with an excellent reputation has been sold by Redwoods Dowling Kerr.

Amber’s Attic, located in Radcliffe, occupies a prominent position within a short drive from the town centre with the Metrolink, bus routes and the M60 motorway all close at hand.

The nursery has capacity for 111 children from birth through to five years of age and also offers a popular before and after school and holiday club for children up to the age of 11.

As a result of its excellent reputation with parents in its area, the nursery demonstrates healthy occupancy levels whilst also enjoying regular referrals and recommendations.

Furthermore, Amber’s Attic was rated as “Good” by Ofsted at its latest inspection in May 2018, further enhancing its commitment in proving high-quality levels of childcare.

There is a compliment of long-standing, qualified staff members in place which is another factor of the nursery’s success and on-going reputation. It is also equipped to an excellent standard with an extensive range of quality toys and children’s furniture.

Having built-up the nursery for many years, owner Michaela Francioli decided to sell Amber’s Attic as she wanted a change of direction. Recognising Redwoods Dowling Kerr as the leading broker in childcare business sales, Mrs Francoli instructed us in the sale of her business.

Brokered by Sarah Ellison, Senior Childcare Negotiator, the nursery gained substantial levels of interest and received 11 viewings. It was sold to family operators looking to expand their portfolio.

Upon completion of the sale, the operators said the location and the nursery’s potential is what attracted them to the opportunity.

Senior Childcare Negotiator Sarah Ellison said: “It has been a pleasure working with Michaela to get her through to a successful completion.

“Due to the difficult time we were delayed with timescales but it has gone to an experience operator who will continue the success of the setting going forward.

“We would like to wish Mr and Mrs Briggs all the best with the second nursery bought through Redwoods Dowling Kerr.”
