5 Star Childcare, based in Halifax, has been sold by Redwoods Dowling Kerr, 17 days after accepting an offer.
The independent nursery and pre-school work in partnership with parents, carers and staff to ensure that children receive the very best quality care and are kept happy, healthy, inspired and motivated to learn in a positive, nurturing and fun environment.
The aim of 5 Star Childcare is “to enrich and maximise each individual child’s development and potential as they make their foundation steps of life, by providing a fun, loving, safe and stimulating environment for them to play, have fun, grow and flourish.”
Rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in its latest inspection, the setting has a capacity for 66 children and has cemented an excellent reputation with children and parents across Halifax.
Having managed the nursery since 2008, the owner, Mandy Naylor, decided to sell the business as she wished to fulfil her retirement plans.
She instructed Redwoods Dowling Kerr in the sale of 5 Star Childcare and our bespoke research process generated significant levels of interest, with 31 viewings and six attractive offers submitted.
The purchaser is Welcome Nurseries, a corporate operator who have previously used RDK’s services to acquire multiple settings.
The Group now has 20 settings across the UK, and they completed the acquisition of 5 Star Childcare in just 17 days after having their offer accepted.
