Rosemary Lodge Is Acquired by a First Time Buyer

This care home in Birmingham has now been sold thanks to the Healthcare brokerage team at Redwoods Dowling Kerr.

Recognising a need for dependable residential care in their locality, Mrs Sally Chundoo established Rosemary Lodge Care Home with a view to offering a consistently high standard of care for the elderly. Operating out of an historic property, the home provides a welcoming, comfortable and caring environment for its clients, featuring 21 residents’ bedrooms.

The previous vendor was always a believer in reinvesting in the care home, undertaking sympathetic redevelopment projects for the home and resulting in Rosemary Lodge becoming the high-quality, client-oriented care home that it is today.

Operated by a highly trained team of professional care staff, their high standards of care have resulted in the setting earning a ‘Good’ report from the Care Quality Commission upon its most recent inspection. As a result of its excellent reputation in the area, Rosemary Lodge continuously receives a high number of regular referrals, attracting many of its clients through word of mouth.

Having achieved everything that she desired to with her business, Sally came to the decision that it was time to move on and approached Redwoods Dowling Kerr to handle the sale of the home. Once on the market, the business attracted 21 viewings and 6 offers, with the successful bid coming from a first-time purchaser with a background in the charity sector. Having decided to enter the care sector due to the growth it is currently experiencing, they quickly identified that this business presented a very attractive opportunity due to its prime location and excellent reputation.

The vendor commented;

“We had Asif dealing with the sale of our care home, and he was amazing. Whilst we were hoping for a sale, we were also going through a tough time in our personal life. Asif was so considerate and always eager to do anything to help. I would like to thank him for all the support during the sale and wish him all the very best in his future endeavours. I have no doubt many care providers will benefit from his expertise in the future, he is one of those rare gems at RDK. Thank you for everything Asif and all the best.”

Lead Negotiator Asif Musa commented;

“Having expert industry knowledge along with having access to RDK’s extensive database of registered buyers I was delighted to be able to quickly target the right buyer for the opportunity and secure a great deal for Sally. It’s great to think that I’ve had a hand in enabling her to semi-retire and spend more time with family. I wish Sally all the best for the future and the new owners every success in developing the business moving forward.”
