Redwoods Dowling Kerr are pleased to announce the successful sale of this popular children’s day nursery. The nursery was established by the previous vendors, Jonathon and Susan Shedd, to meet the increasing demand for high-quality childcare in the area.
Throughout the nursery’s time providing exceptional standards of childcare to the local community, the nursery has effectively positioned itself as the top-level childcare settings in the area. With a current capacity for 45 children, the nursery provides comprehensive childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years of age.
The nursery benefits from an experienced and highly qualified team of early years practitioners. They are directed by a professional management team. This has resulted in the setting earning a ‘Good’ Ofsted report upon its most recent inspection on the 26th November 2018.

The nursery has also infinitely benefitted from the expert direction and ownership of the previous vendors. Throughout their control of the setting, the setting has received considerable investment and redevelopment.
Jonathon and Susan reached the decision to place their comprehensive nursery setting onto the market. They decided it was time for them to retire, and that they had achieved everything that they aimed for with their nursery. Since establishing the nursery, the vendors have greatly improved the setting. Jonathon and Susan left in place an excellent business to acquire.
The vendors approached the brokerage team at Redwoods Dowling Kerr to facilitate the sale of their nursery. RDK were proud to oversee the sale of this comprehensive setting. Once the nursery was placed onto the market, the business swiftly sold after just 1 viewing and 1 offer.
Little Leprechauns Day Nursery was quickly acquired by Anant and Tushi Popat. Having already established themselves in the childcare sector, they were looking for a second nursery setting to purchase. They were also returning customers to Redwoods Dowling Kerr, having previously purchased a nursery setting through the brokerage service.
The prime trading location of the nursery was what ultimately influenced the sale. The vendors wish to grow and develop the setting, and to run it in conjunction with their first nursery. They aim to continue to operate the nursery to the high standards that it’s client base are accustomed to.
